Opportunity to apply for refunds of erroneous/inadvertent payments

As FBOs you can now apply for refunds of erroneous/inadvertent payments credited into FSSAI account in respect of license/registration fee over FLRS/FoSCoS platform.

Below is the refund request application & processing method of erroneous/inadvertent payments.

  • The refund request with application reference number & payment transaction details should be made within 1 year of the payment made through FLRS or FoSCoS systems. This request must be sent to enforcement1@fssai.gov.in.
  • Online payment with the claimed transaction details will be verified and processed by the Regulatory Compliance Division as per Schedule 3 of FSS (Licensing & Registration of Food Business) Regulations, 2011, following which refund will be sanctioned by the competent authority.
  • Refunds of less than Rs. 100 may not be processed.

In case of RazorPay payment gateway,

  • Claims for refund will be considered on account of double payment or some technical glitch during the application of state licenses/registrations.
  • Concerned state authorities will process the refund of such extra payments for state licenses/registrations made through any other mode or State specific payment gateway other than ‘RazorPay’.
