The idea germinated in 2008 when our Founder ; Ms. Sarika Agarwal ; worked with a leading certification company, conducting audits for Food Safety Management Systems. During the audits, she realized that the implementation of management system was at best mediocre . The reason was not really intent but lack of access to knowledge about the systems. Thus was born Quality & Food Safety Consultants in the year 2009 to help food businesses effectively implement food safety management systems.

With the arrival of Food Safety Standards and Regulations in 2011, HACCP based Food Safety Management Systems became a mandate, under schedule 4 of the FSSR, for all Food Businesses holding an FSSAI license. Thus came the need to educate the businesses on the same. Food safety finally was taking prominence . And we rechristened ourselves to a more relevant name of Food Safety Works.

Since our inception, we have gone beyond just FSMS. We added additional services to help food businesses solve various issues related to food safety. Our Regulatory and Compliance services help businesses with FSSAI licensing, filing returns, reviewing labels, uploading reports. We now help our customers exporting around the world to meet the country specific regulations and guidelines. Our trainings cover a vast range of topics that range from FSMS standards, Regulations, Masterclasses and Basic Hygiene. We are also the largest training partner for FSSAI’s FoSTac program based out of Karnataka.

We can now help our customers develop new products and work with manufacturing partners to take the product to market. Our audits are well respected within the industry for their thoroughness and attention to detail.
