FSSAI amends Regulations for Alcoholic Beverages

On 18th Dec 2020 FSSAI has published a notification about the amendment in the Alcoholic Beverages Regulations. These regulations will be called FSS (Alcoholic Beverages) First Amendment Regulations, 2020 and will come into force on 1st July 2021.

The regulations prescribed the tolerance limits for ethyl alcohol. It also defines low alcoholic beverages, Indian brandy, single malt or single grain whisky. Definitions and standards for different types of wines along with their labeling requirements have also been included in these regulations. Read the complete notification here.
