On 30^{th t} October 2023, FSSAI issued a letter regarding special surveillance/ enforcement drives to be conducted during this festive season to prevent any food adulteration. It is expected that a strict vigil will be kept on the manufacturing and sale of sweets, savouries, milk and milk products like ghee, khoya, paneer, etc. Also, the Food Safety on Wheels (FSW) are to be positioned in the prominent markets to ensure that the products are safe for consumption and are strictly as per food product standards.
