On 7^th November 2023, FSSAI issued an order regarding approved test methods for detection of Iron, Folic Acid & Vitamin B12 in Fortified Rice Kernel. The Scientific Panel on Methods of Sampling and Analysis has approved methods for determination of Iron, Folic acid and Vitamin B12 in Fortified Rice Kernel. The food testing laboratories are directed to use the aforesaid methods with immediate effect.
