We all know that the holidays are a time for celebration with friends, family, and loved ones with delicious treats that can turn into moments of not so much joy if they are contaminated. But food safety does not have to be a worry this holiday season. This month’s food safety conversation is about food safety in bakery products, especially during the Christmas and New Year seasons. The panel will start with insights on bakery products and it’s safety, and how they can be ensured. We will also hear from business owners who specialize in baking and is very quick to identify or prevent any risks that could harmtheir customers. The World of Vegan Foods

Increasing numbers of people are moving toward vegan diets due to health, animal welfare, or environmental concerns. The objective of November Food Safety Conversation was to provide insights on the safety aspect of the vegan diet, as well as its benefits for your health and the environment. To talk about this, we had Mr. Vishwesh Nair, the Founder and Managing Director of Milkin Oats, Dr. Achyutan Eswar, Co-founder of Sampoorna Ahara and PHC Lifestyle Clinic & NutritionScience.in, and Ms. Palak Mehta who is Founder and CEO of Vegan First and Founder of Vegan India Conference. Indian Sweets And Global Standards

India is a vast country with all kinds of dietary requirements and preferences that are not often found in other countries. And yet, we’re still exposed to global standards of food safety. There’s a constant debate about how Indian sweets should be made keeping in mind the country’s tradition and culture or how they should be made keeping in mind global standards. The Indian government has taken serious efforts to keep up with the changing times and also set up some food safety norms, but does it make sense for them to compare Indian sweets with global standards?

Global Challenges in Food Safety and India Perspective

World Food Safety Day (WFSD) celebrated on 7 June 2021 aims to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage food-borne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism, and sustainable development. This year’s theme was ‘Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow’.
