Safety with Divinity

Safety with Divinity” is our attempt to introduce food safety and hygiene at the Place of Worship (PoW).  Through this program we want to train the food handlers at place of worship on the basic food safety and hygiene required while preparing their offering to god.  All the trained members will also get an FSSAI of training through the FoSTac.

The participants will also get a starter kit which contains caps, aprons and indoor slippers (to be used only in the kitchen) along with 1 week’s supply of gloves, masks and hand sanitizer. The premises also receive posters on food safety and hygiene that that can be put up at the premises to reinforce the hygiene practices. After the training, if the PoW so desires, we can take them through the assessment as per the BHOG program of FSSAI.

This is a crowd sourced program and if you would like to get this conducted at a PoW in your community, you can reach out to us at divinity@foodsafetyworks.in.

Here are some FAQs on the program.

1.Is this program free or paid?

We will be doing 1 to 2 programs as our initiative of giving back to the society. If you or your organization would like to come forward to sponsor this program, we will be able to conduct more of these programs to improve the coverage.

2. How many people will be trained?

After talking with some of the PoW, we find that most of them have no more than 10 food handlers. So the program is designed for a team of 10.

3. Is this program limited to 10 people only?

Not really. But for an operation larger than that, we will need to create a customized plan. Please do get in touch with us at divinity@foodsafetyworks.in

4. Which geographic areas are you covering?

For the free programs, we are currently focusing on PoWs around Bangalore. But if you would like to sponsor this at a location outside of Bangalore, we can conduct the program at the location of your choice.

5. How do we take this forward after 1 week?

The community associated with the PoWs will be expected to take this forward. As for the consumables, they may be purchased from our store or from any other supplier.

6. How can the community help?

The community can help by having someone volunteer for guiding the PoW through the process. We would be happy to train the volunteer as well

7. How do I sign up to be a volunteer?

You can sign up to be a volunteer by filling out this form.

8. How can I gift this to the PoW in my community?

You can check up locally if they are willing to run this program. If they agree, you can purchase the program from our store and we will work with you to deliver the program.

9. I need more details on the program. Who can I contact?

You can drop and email to divinity@foodsafetyworks.in and we will get in touch with you.
