On 20th January 2023, the Department of Consumer Affairs of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, issued a direction regarding net quantity declaration of edible oil etc. without temperature. The manufacturer/ packers/ importers of edible oil are required to pack the oil without mentioning the temperature. The timeline for this requirement has been extended for six months.
