On 24^th April 2023, FSSAI issued a notification regarding re-operationalization of the standards of Crude Corn (Maize) Oil. The draft amendment regulations relating to Crude Corn (Maize) Oil has been re-operationalized with effect from 20.12.2022, in order to allow FBOs to import crude corn (maize) oil. The standard for the Solvent extracted Crude Corn (Maize) Oil specifies the limits for various parameters like moisture and insoluble impurities, refractive index, saponification value, iodine value, acid value, unsaponifiable matter and flash point.
