On 20th October 2022, FSSAI issued a letter regarding special drives to check adulteration of sweets, savories, milk, and milk products like Khoya, Paneer, etc., during the festive season.  The Food Authorities of respective jurisdictions are requested to ensure a strict vigil, by conducting surveillance/ enforcement drives including positioning Food Safety on Wheels (FSW) where available in prominent markets and ensuring that sweets & savories meet the food product standards and are safe for consumption.
