As a consequence of surveillance, monitoring, and inspection actions carried out by authorities nationwide, 1,326 samples of food products, including protein powder and dietary supplements, were collected and 1,229 were forwarded to labs for testing. According to sources, the Union Minister stated that 202 samples were found to be out of compliance with the relevant food product standards and that appropriate action was taken in accordance with the criminal provisions of the Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act.
