On 17th May 2022, FSSAI issued draft regulations regarding the amendment of  Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018. One of the amendments is that the Alcoholic beverage shall not contain any nutritional information on the label except energy content in KCal. Such declaration related to energy content shall be voluntary. 

Any objections/suggestions with respect to the draft regulations may be sent to the Food Authority, before 60 days from the date of publication of the regulations in the Official Gazette.
