On 8th August 2022, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued a Gazette notification regarding the amendment in the Export policy of items under HS Code 1101. As per the notification, the Export Policy of items – Wheat Flour (Atta), Maida, Semolina (Rava / Sirgi), Wholemeal atta and Resultant atta, under HS Code 1101 remains ‘Free’, but export shall be subject to recommendation of Inter Ministerial Committee (IMC) constituted for allowing export of wheat, along with the issue of Quality Certificate by Export Inspection Council (EIC). The notification will come into effect from 14th August 2022.
