On 05th August 2024, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare issued a notification for Millets Grading and Marking Rules, 2024. They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. These will apply the whole and dehulled millets – Sorghum, Pearl Millet, Finger millet, foxtail millet, Kodo millet, little millet, Browntop millet, barnyard millet, proso millet, amaranthus seed, and Buckwheat.

2. Grade designation
3. Quality
4. Methods of packing
5. Method of marking and labelling
6. Special conditions for grant of certificate of authorization
7. Other requirements
