FSSAI: Direction under Section 16(5) of FSS Act, 2006 regarding re-operationalization of the Standards of Crude Solvent Extracted Corn (Maize) Oil


On 25th Sep 2023, the draft Food Safety and Standards (FPS & FA) Amendment Regulation with regard to the standard of Crude Solvent Extracted Corn (Maize) Oil was created. It has been decided to re-operationalize the provisions for Crude Solvent Extracted Corn (Maize) Oil as specified in the direction dated 24/04/23, with effect from 20/06/23 for a period of 6 months or until final notification of ibid draft regulations, whichever is earlier, in order to permit the FBOs to import the crude corn (maize) oil.
