To mark World Food Safety Day, we’re focusing on safer food for better health. This session moreover, Food Safety Conversation – World Food Safety Day | Beyond Shawarma – Safer Food Better Health, will explore food safety in street food vending setups. We’ll discuss practical ways to reduce risks and hazards in these environments.
In recent times, Shawarma as been in the news for wrong reasons where 1 person lost her life and multiple others were hospitalized.
This brings food safety back in the forefront and it is a great time to raise te awareness about the topic. Discussing the topic would be

Launched on World Food Safety Day 2020, Food Safety Conversation is a monthly panel discussion that we host on a a food safety topic. The panelists are practitioners who bring in real life experience on the topic at hand. The conversations are very candid and we are happy to include a topic of your interest.
