FSSAI gives FBOs opportunity for reactivation of rejected applications & to update changes in User Profiles

Through a notice, dated, 07th July, 2020, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India shared a Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), for reactivation of rejected applications for central license, state license/registration & change in user profile including new login credentials, email ID & mobile number. Following are the details of the same

SOP for Reactivation of rejected  applications for Central license, State license/Registration

Applications that are considered for reactivation are:

  • Rejected automatically by system due to non-furnishing of information/documents by FBO within stipulated time of 30 days.
  • Rejected by DO, in case of non-receipt of requisite documents/information as per FSS Regulations from the FBO after repetitive queries.
  • Rejected by FBO inadvertently while processing the applications.
  • Rejected due to technical glitch while processing the applications either by DO or FBO.

For central license, FBOs shall apply to concerned Regional Office (RO) of FSSAI, for reactivation within 6 months from the date of rejection of application. RO will further request to FSSAI HQ ( RCD) within 30 days. In case of exception or urgency, FBO can approach FSSAI HQ directly. Cases will be approved based on the merit and final approval from CEO

In order to reactivate the application for state license/registration, FBOs need to apply with concerned State Food Safety Commissioner  for license or DO in case of registration within 6 months from the date of rejection of application. Further request will be sent to RCD within 30 days. RCD will reactivate the application and communicate the same to CFS /DO

Change of User Profile ( Login / Credentials/ Email Id and Mobile No)

The FBOs should submit an application on the letterhead of the firm/company duly signed by the authorized person of the firm.

Following must be enclosed with the application: (a) A copy of photo identity card (b) A copy of existing license(s), registration certificate(s), application(s) in Form A or B as applicable.

If FBOs want new login credential, a new login ID & Password must be created and the same should be indicated in the application.

All the  requests / application on reactivation or change in User Profile shall be sent by post to the Joint Director, Regulatory Compliance Division, 4th Floor, FDA Bhawan, New Delhi or by email to enforcement1@fssai.gov.in.
