Tech4Food: AI in Food – Efficiency, Insights & Beyond

Bengaluru, June 13, 2026 – The future of food met the power of Artificial Intelligence at the latest edition of Tech4Food, hosted by Food Safety Works at its HSR Layout office. Under the theme AI in Food – Efficiency, Insights & Beyond, the meetup brought together professionals from the IT and food sectors to explore how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping operations, decision-making, and growth across the food industry, and this time, attendees didn’t just hear about AI in food, they tasted it.

Welcome Note by Ramesh Agarwal

The session opened with a welcome note and introduction by Ramesh Agarwal, CEO @foodsafetyworks, who set the context for the day, framing AI not as a buzzword but as a practical lever for efficiency, insight, and compliance across food businesses, and setting the tone for the sessions to follow.

Cooking, Reimagined – by Sudeep Gupta

The first session was led by Sudeep Gupta, Co-Founder of Nosh, a Bengaluru-based startup building autonomous cooking robots that take the effort out of home cooking. Sudeep walked the room through how AI-powered products are changing the way people cook, and backed it up with a live demonstration of Nosh’s AI robo-chef in action. The robot whipped up a batch of paneer tikka right there at the venue, which was then served to all attendees. Few things make a point about AI in food better than eating the result of it, and the demo was a clear highlight of the day.

Beyond the AI Hype – by Rohit Adipuredath

The second session featured Rohit Adipuredath, a product operations and technology leader with over a decade of experience at companies including Uber Eats, OLX Autos, Snapdeal, and Tata Motors. Rohit spoke about how AI is driving operational efficiency, how data-driven AI solutions can help cut down food wastage, and the broader ways AI is transforming food tech, including food safety itself. He drew on real-world examples from across his career, including stories from his time at Uber Eats’ London meet, to ground the conversation in practical, lived experience rather than theory.

Audience Reactions & Key Takeaways

The conversation around food wastage struck a particular chord with the room, sparking an engaged discussion among attendees on where AI can realistically move the needle. Between watching an AI robot cook lunch and hearing first-hand accounts from the frontlines of global food-tech operations, the session struck a good balance between what AI in food looks like today and where it’s headed next.

Final Thoughts
