Under new regulations, influencers and celebrities must be truthful while promoting health products.

Recently, it became necessary for public personalities like celebrities and influencers who identify as “health experts or medical advisors” to provide “clear explanations” whenever they promote health-related products. This modification also applies to fitness experts and medical professionals who must reveal their credentials when endorsing products or delivering health advice.

This remarkable decision was taken by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs in collaboration with Ayush, FSSAI, and ASCI. This will help to create awareness about health products among consumers, leading to non-influential purchasing.
