FSSAI Direction: Extension of date of enforcement for compliance of quality parameters ‘Alcoholic acidity’ and ‘Total Dietary fiber’ in Pearl Millet Flour, Sorghum Flour, Multigrain flour, Mixed millet flour and re-operationalization of the revised ‘Moisture content’ for Mixed millet flour

On 15th February 2023, FSSAI issued a direction for keeping in abeyance the compliance of quality parameters ‘Alcoholic acidity’ and ‘Total Dietary fiber’ in certain cereal flours and re-operationalization of the revised ‘Moisture content’ specifications for Mixed millet flour. According to the direction, the date of enforcement of provisions, i.e.. Alcoholic acidity for Pearl millet flour, Sorghum flour, Multigrain flour, Mixed millet flour and Total dietary fiber of Mixed millet flour has been extended for a period of 6 months until 30.06.2023 and the provision of revised moisture content (13 %) for Mixed millet flour has been re-operationalized with effect from 27.01.2023.
