INFOSAN: Alert on detection of Salmonella in dried Oregano from Chile

On 1st July 2021, FSSAI released a letter regarding an alert received from INFOSAN on the detection of Salmonella in Sweden in dried Oregano from Chile. 

The same product has been imported to India by Keya Foods International Pvt. Ltd. Keeping the health risk which may be posed by the  product contaminated with Salmonella, FSSAI has asked all State Food Authorities to take necessary actions including complete recall of the product from the market. Further consumers are also advised not to consume the product, and return back to the store they have purchased from.
