On 23rd August 2022, FSSAI issued a letter regarding extension of enrollment of Non Food Production (NFP) Units for Collection of Used Cooking Oil from Food Business Operators. As per the letter, FSSAI has extended the validity of 23 provisionally enrolled NFP Units to 30.07.2023 or till registration mechanism in the state/UT gets devised. These NFP units and the authorized collection agencies/ aggregators shall be bound by SOPs and guidelines issued by FSSAI from time to time.
