The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has decided to extend the validity period of enrollment of 17 biodiesel manufacturers for collection of UCO from FBOs, by one year from 31^st July 2020, irrespective of validity period as per the enrollment letter.

As per this, the biodiesel manufacturers can continue their collection and FBOs need not have to review the validity of their contracts for one more year. The detailed notification is available here.
