Through a letter dated 22 nd June, FSSAI has further extended the timeline for compliance to the limits of Calcium and Magnesium for the standards of Packaged Drinking Water other than Mineral Water from July 1st 2021 to Jan 1st 2022.

On December 30, 2020, FSSAI had published a notification in which the compliance related to limit of Calcium and Magnesium in Packaged Drinking Water other than Mineral Water was extended till July 1st 2021, but due to lockdown imposed as a result of Covid -19 pandemic, Food Business Operators are not prepared to comply with the regulation. Keeping this in mind FSSAI has extended the timeline for compliance of the standard .
