On 20^th October 2023, FSSAI published a direction regarding re-operationalization of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Amendment Regulations 2021. Since notification of the final amendment regulation is likely to take some time, it has been decided to re-operationalize these regulations with immediate effect. The amendments are regarding licensing and registration of E-commerce food business operators, documents to be enclosed for new application for license to State/ Central Licensing Authority, conditions of license and Part II, IV & V of Sanitary & Hygiene requirements of Schedule 4.
