On 16th May 2024, FSSAI published an advisory about the provision to update the filed modification application of license/ registration in FoSCoS. FBOs shall ensure that the registering or licensing authority always has to update information and shall inform the relevant authority of any modifications or additions or changes in the product category, layout, expansion, closure, or any other material information. The Food Authority has introduced a provision in FoSCoS allowing FBOs to cancel their modification application and apply for updated modification applications in case the FBOs wish to apply for an updated modification.
