FSSAI: Monitoring the sale of food items during festival season

On 21 st March 2024, FSSAI issued a notice for monitoring the sales of food items during the festival season. The Food Authority requested strict food safety vigilance on the manufacturing and selling of food items usually consumed during festival season, particularly Kuttu Atta, Singahada Atta, Bhagar/Samak ke Chawal/Barnyard Millet. FBOs shall follow GMP and Good Hygiene and sanitation practices while handling and storing food items.
