On 10th June 2024, Fssai issued a Draft FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2024. The proposed amendments are regarding products like Synthetic Syrup for use in Dispensers for carbonated water, Culinary Pastes / Fruits and Vegetable Sauces Other Than Tomato Sauce and Soya Sauce, Whole Maize (Corn) Flour, Ragi Flour, Mixed Millet Flour, flattened rice, rice flour, canned fish products, etc.

Any Objections/suggestions with respect to the draft regulations may be sent to the Food Authority before 60 days from the date of Publication of the regulations in the official Gazette.
