FSSAI Direction: Re-operationalization of FSS (Health Supplement, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary use, Food for Special Medical Purposes and Prebiotic and Probiotic Food) Regulations, 2022

On 5th June 2024, FSSAI issued a direction under Section 16(5) of  FSS (Health Supplement, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose and Prebiotic and Probiotic Food) Regulations, 2022 with effect from 01.01.2024.

It has also been decided to allow the use of additives and GMP table as per Codex in all categories across various formats, till the final notification of the regulations.
