The world is celebrating International Women’s Day on the 8th of March. How good or how bad we fare in terms of gender equality is still a matter of debate, but this would be the perfect day to sit back and acknowledge the presence of woman around us. Women entrepreneurs are now taking up major roles in the Food and Beverage (F&B) and hospitality. Moreover, the F&B industry in India has recognized the hidden potentials of women transforming their mere duty-bound domesticated kitchen roles to much more wide scale professional and formal food business functions. On the week of Women’s Day, we are celebrating 3 such food industry entrepreneurs who will compel you to believe the relationship between women and Food today which has come miles beyond cooking.
Food Safety Conversation for the month of March 2021 is on the topic “Women In Food”. This will be held online on the 9th of March, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST. In the conversation we look at the journey of some of the Women in the Food Industry and also talk about their experiences both good and bad and how they perceive the risks and rewards for being in the business. To discuss all this, we have some very prominent faces in the food industry as our panelists for the conversation. We have Ms. Niharika Goenka, founder of Arugula & Co, a health food startup that has a single point agenda, to help you #eatmoreveggies, Ms. Aditi Handa co-founder of Baker’s Dozen, a company that openly prophesies their love for sourdough, the pate ferment, the culture of what makes a bread sing, and Ms. Surabhi Talwar, co-founder of Happy Jars, a company that believes that for healthy food to become a habitual part of a person’s day, it needs to taste delicious. The panel will be moderated by Ms. Nameeta Garg who is a Senior Consultant at Food Safety Works.
This is a great opportunity to join and learn about what it takes to hold your fort in the world of food. We are sure, our panelists would be able to provide the inspiration you are looking for.
We do Food Safety Conversations every month and for a list of our past conversations, you can visit our Food Safety Conversation page. Here is our last Food Safety Conversation: Eat Right Campus: Opportunity to Make India Healthy, which was pretty popular with our audience, specially if you manage/eat at a company cafeteria.
