On 18th October 2022, FSSAI issued a direction regarding extension of facility of Provisional NOC to registered Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs). In order to facilitate trade and ease of doing business, the importing FBOs having AEOs can submit a declaration to the concerned Authorized Officer, who will draw samples and issue a Provisional No Objection Certificate (P-NOC) after satisfactory visual inspection of the products.
