The 4th Meet Up of Tech4Food was conducted on the 28th of September 2024 at the famed Spectalpack at Bommasandra. Tech4Food continues its efforts to build a community that converges tech enthusiasts and food industry professionals. Tech4Food is Food Safety Work’s initiative to build a community of food scientists and IT/computer specialists who understand each other better. India’s prowess in IT and related technologies is now world class. So there is a great opportunity to apply these in the food science, technology and nutrition domain to innovate and get ahead of the world.
In the 4th Edition of Tech4Food, we discussed the future of food packaging through the lens of smart printing technologies. Food packaging is often one of the most overlooked yet challenging aspects of the food manufacturing industry. When examining iconic brands, it becomes clear that their packaging, shipping, and retail strategies are key factors in their success. An optimal packaging model ensures that products remain fresh and flavorful while keeping costs low, ultimately satisfying both suppliers and consumers.
