On November 13, 2024, the FSSAI issued an order mandating that all Food Business Operators (FBOs) must link their PAN with their FSSAI license and registration. This requirement applies to new license applications, registrations, and any renewals or modifications.

Effective Date: October 22, 2024

For FBOs with existing licenses or registrations not due for renewal or modification soon, it is required to update their PAN details in the FoSCoS user profile section. If an FBO applying for registration does not possess a PAN, a declaration of non-possession must be submitted.
